Nico Malan launched our Aquatics Club late 2011 in the form of an internal surfing competition which was sponsored by Billabong. The Aquatics club was started with the aim of including water sports under one banner. Thus far we have managed to include a quadathlon event, staged on the 5th of November 2011; surfing; swimming and hope to one day still incorporate rowing. Since this club is still in its infancy, set programmes and structures are still being put into place. As far as surfing is concerned, we aim at holding an internal competition in the first term to establish a ladder. We will be re-instating Nico Malan into the schools' tag-team surfing league and arranging tag-team events with the schools concerned.
